Books, Manuscripts
The essays contained in this book were originally delivered as a course of lectures at Edinburgh University. The first chapter, by H. Harvey Wood, is on medieval Dunfermline poet Robert Henryson. Wood claims Henryson's poetry has 'the ageless quality of all great art' and that Henryson 'possesses the sympathy, the sanity, and the honesty of a great poet'.
