Queensferry passage. Wardlaw and Anderson v. Cunningham and others : 1780 / spine title

Court of Session (Scotland)1780
Books, Manuscripts
This item comprises three papers relating to a dispute over the delivery of iron hoops across the Firth of Forth to North Queensferry, which were 'unloaded near the place called the hanging stone, which is much about half-flood' and left there for several tides, causing them to be rust-damaged. The pursuers wanted re-imbursement but also to teach 'those gentlemen' not to 'abandon [goods] in the manner here done'. Included are details on witnesses and regulations as to the running of passage-boats at Queensferry.
