Further Petition brought about by Robert Haldane, Esq, Provost of Inverkeithing, and Magistrates and Councillors of the Burgh. Relating to 'grievous wrongs and illegal proceedings' which were alleged to have taken place at the burgh elections. It was claimed that the use of unlawful force and bribery led to the election of Admiral Holburn and his party. This petition concerns a judgement on the case given by the House of Lords following a hearing on Wednesday 11th February 1761.
