Books, Manuscripts
Details the Petition to the Court of Session brought about by Francis Holburn, Esq, Vice Admiral of the Red, Provost of the Burgh of Inverkeithing. This Petition is a result of the complaint brought about by Robert Haldane, Esq., and others, which complained of wrongs said to have been committed at the last annual election of Provost, Magistrates and Councillors of the Burgh of Inverkeithing. Haldane claimed that the use of unlawful force and bribery led to the election of Admiral Holburn and his party. In this Petition, Holburn and others seek to bring their whole evidence into Process.
