Report of the opening in August 1927 of the convalescent home with a description of the building and policies. On the death of Mr Charles Carlow, chairman and managing director of the Fife Coal Company, it was proposed that Blair Castle should be equipped as a convalescent home for Fife, Clackmannan and Kinross miners.
