This item concerns a dispute over the lease of Cockairney Farm, leased by Robert Auld since 1800, concerning the landlord's obligation to complete the march fences (fences dividing different properties) and to repair the farm steading. The farm was owned by Andrew Horn of Thomanean, who died in the West Indies in February 1804; once his death was known, he was succeeded by his brother David. There is some detail on the farm boundaries and adjoining owners Hon. Miss M. Mercer Elphinstone of Aldie and Mr Thomas Beveridge of Carsegower.
