Rev. A. M'lean [MacLean]. Dunfermline case : 1804 / spine title

Court of session (Scotland)1804
Books, Manuscripts
These papers form part of a dispute between Rev M'Lean or MacLean and the heritors of Dunfermline parish. Presbytery had found that the minister of Dunfermline Abbey was entitled to a manse, grass-land for a horse and two cows, and an increase in his arable glebe to 4 acres. The heritors had responded by bringing matters before the Court of Session: they quoted the case of Dunfermline minister James Thomson, who had made similar demands unsuccessfully in 1749-50.
