Proceedings by The Carnegie Dunfermline Trustees, in Pittencrieff Park and Glen, and other properties, on the occasion of taking Public Infeftment according to the ancient forms, on Saturday 21st November 1903. Contains the order of procession, starting with Police, followed by Fire Brigade, Scottish Pipers, the Lord Lieutenant of the County, Thomas Shaw (representing Dr. Carnegie), Sheriffs, Trustees, Provost, Magistrates, Town Council, Burgh School Board and Public Library Committee, the Parish Council, followed by the Town Band, Postmen, St. Leonard's Works, Boys' Brigade and Pipers, bakers and confectioners etc., etc. Also the 'Order of the Ceremony' ending with a Dedicatory Prayer and the National Anthem. A Fireworks display will follow, lasting until around 7pm, and Pittencrieff House, the Glen and the Double Arch (photo in leaflet) will be illuminated. The Park gates will be locked at 9pm. Small portraits of Earl of Elgin, Thomas Shaw, John Ross, Provost MacBeth and Andrew Carnegie are featured inside this leaflet too.
