This booklet details the experiments undertaken by the Dunfermline Textile Society to find out the effects of atmospheric humidity on the tensile strength of linen yarns and fabric. They also researched how to obtain the humidity artificially and the effects of this humidity on the workers, machines and the resulting increase in productivity in the factories.
