This issue of the Historic Scotland magazine contains two articles of a Fife interest. The first is p.28 'The great outdoors' by Kathleen Nutt which has a section on Aberdour Castle. The second is p.40 'A walk in the past' by Alec Mackenzie which has a section on Inchcolm Abbey. Both articles are illustrated with photographs, the second includes a photograph of Inchcolm Abbey from the First World War when the island was heavily fortified to defend Rosyth Naval Base and Edinburgh.
