For more than a century Scots were champions of the World at draughts and this book follows the Scottish Draughts School 1820-1930 with a brief history, biographies of the World Champions including that of Robert Stewart (1873-1941) born in Kelty, Fife who won the Scottish Championship 1894,1895,1900,1901 and 1902. It is stated that Stewart was World Champion 1922-1937, however pages 27 and 28 missing from his story. It also contains a newspaper article from 1933 concerning "Kelty Champion and His American Rival"
