This volume takes the form of a red lever arch file containing newspaper scans in A4 polyester pockets. It was produced in-house by Andrea McMillan, Library Assistant at Cupar Library. The file contains scans of newspaper notices and obituaries for servicemen and women who appear on the Cupar War Memorial for the Second World War. The notices come from the Fife Herald and Journal (1940-1946) the Fife News (1940-1946) and the Fife News Almanacs (1941 and1942) all of which are held in the reference department at Cupar Library. The volume commences with a name index followed by an explanatory preface and an alphabetical list of all the names that appear on the War Memorial for the 1939-1945 period. There are some photographs of the deceased included as part of the obituaries and a photograph plus an extract from an 'Operations Record Book' for Sgt Observer George Durie RAF from the private collection of his nephew. This file is an adjunct to the hard-bound volume 'Under the Angel' (2015) also compiled by Andrea McMillan and listing names on the Cupar War Memorial for the Great War Peiod of 1914-1918. There are copies of this latter publication at Cupar and Kirkcaldy Reference Libraries.
