This legal document, dated 10th March 1906, records the agreement between the Council and Dunfermline and District Tramways Company over how the Company should carry out its function, and payments details. The Company was to pay £100 per mile of tramway route for the first 5 years, and £25 thereafter, and the Council was to maintain the streets. There is an option for the Council to buy out the company in time. Details are given about different areas and some named streets, and specification is made about how often trams should run, including a requirement to run trams for 'male and female workers... at twenty minutes past five in the morning' etc.
