This book was produced by Margaret Hewitt (nee Paterson) and her family. The book reproduces the letters written between Margaret and her mother in the years 1946-1947. They reflect life just after the war when rationing was still in force. Margaret was born and raised in Dunfermline and only moved away after her marriage in 1946 and it is this period in their lives that the letters record. It is a fascinating record of social history during the post-war period.
