Family tree with notes for Dr. J. H. Chalmers Clarke. Following back his lineage leads to three men with a connection to Dunfermline. The first is Rev. Alexander Mitchell (1811-1902) who was minister in 1851 at the Dunfermline Parish Church. the second is Rev. Peter Chalmers (1790-1870) who was the minister of Dunfermline Abbey 1817-1870. The third is Sir Peter Chalmers Mitchell (1864-1945), zoologist and founder of Whipsnade Zoo.
