A celebration in words, music and art of the life and cannonisation of Margaret, Queen Consort and Saint of Scotland (1049-1093). Contemporaneous correspondence and commentaries, with C11th and C13th plainsong and sacred polyphony, set against dramatic works by Scotland's greatest makar of the C15th, Robert Henryson of Dunfermline; and projected artistic responses to St Margaret, icon of world Christianity, by Scottish painters of the late C20th including, Fred Crayk, Lys Hansen, Ian McCulloch, Bruce McLean and Peter Thomson... in a 900th anniversary commemoration, 1093-1993, performed in the glorious Nave of Dunfermline Abbey, founded by Queen Margaret and her husband Malcolm Canmore, King of Scots, in 1070, the year of their marriage.
