This document charts the little known about architects, builders, masons and carpenters in medieval Scotland. Of particular interest is the information on Robert the Carpenter, who may have built the chapel dedicated to St John the Baptist on the lands of Garvock. Webster suggests that Robert may also have been the architect for the Chapel of St Leonard. There is also mention of Aelric, awarded lands at Ledmacduuegil which became known as Masterton/Maistertoun.
