Books, Manuscripts
This is the third and final book in the Splinter Town Series. Described by the author as 'Steam-driven sci-fi in an alternative 1920s Britain'. The series revolves around Splinter Town, referred to by the locals as 'Splinterton'. It is located half-way between Devon and Wales and is 60 feet above the seabed within an extinct volcano. In this final volume, Western Europe is in the grip of Winter but Splinterton basks in the warmth of its volcanic environment. The assassin Martlet is trapped beyond help and an alliance is formed to try to rescue her. The undertown is haunted by the figure of Tudor Jones and it is unclear if he is a force of good or evil. The people of Splinterton are scattered and the sinister Clive Barbican returns as his plans threaten a devastating conclusion to the tale.
