Charting the history of the barony of Aberdour in the 14th Century to the destruction of the castle by fire in 1715. A detailed description of the castle is provided, along with a floor plan which tells us that only the 17th-century wing remains roofed, while the tower has mostly collapsed. Aberdour Castle is now in the care of Historic Scotland, and is open to the public all year.
