Becoming a member
Not a member yet? If you live, work or study in Fife you can join the library online and get access to Fife’s Library Services. If you are under 12 you can ask a parent or guardian to fill out the form for you. There’s no lower limit to the age for joining and babies love books!
Join online here and get a temporary membership for 2 weeks, giving you instant access to eBooks and e-audio books You can then visit a library, at a time to suit, in those 2 weeks to get your full membership activated.

Visit any public library in Fife and become a full member right away. You can see addresses and opening hours for all libraries here. To become a full member, all we ask is that you bring in a bill, driving licence or something similar that has your name and address on it.
If you already have a MyFife card you can bring it into the library and get it activated to be your library card. If you’re doing this, you don’t need to bring any other id with you.
**When completing the online joining form please keep a record of your PIN number as you will need this to login to your account.
